It is free to walk in but there is a fee to go into the different museums that are in three of the four corners. There were some kids on some type of field trip that were actually walking around in the ruins.
We walked to the Arc de Triomf which was built as the main access gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair.
Then we headed down to the park.
These kids were so cute. There was a mud puddle in the middle of their path and all but one kid followed each other through the area and had to jump over the water. But one smart little girl took the easier route around the puddle.
Roger found the fountain in Parc de la Ciutadella.
We then headed down to the beach where I was totally disappointed when I got up close to the bronze fish that I have admired from afar and wanted to see up close. Let me tell you it is not worth walking to. Up close you can't even tell it is a fish. I was the only one that went and actually put my feet in the water, the rest of them stayed up on the cement walkway in the shade. Even though the weather was much cooler today the sun just seems to burn right through you.
For dinner we went to Rosa Negra. We had come here the last time we were in Barcelona when I was craving some Mexican food. In case you didn't know Spanish food is not at all like Mexican food.
On our walk home through the little alley ways we found some strange creatures.
You just never know what you are going to find down these little streets.
