We left our hotel in Rouen at 8:30 and dropped our car off at Sixt. Roger had pulled over before turning in the car and we took everything out of the car. Before he was back Elaine and Fred had loaded up in a cab and were on their way to the train station. Roger and I took the metro and met them at the Gare Nord. We were not going to starve on this train ride.
Roger had picked up a fresh baguette and he cut up some of the salami that he and Elaine had purchased at the street market. We had great seats on the train we were in a compartment with one other family. The only bad thing was that when people would walk through they had to open and close doors on both sides.
We took a taxi to the houseboat and were settled in quickly. We then headed to the grocery store and purchased some items to make dinner. After dinner we got lost in Amsterdam.
