July 7, 2015 - Barcelona - Barcelona Bus Turistic

This morning I made everyone some eggs for breakfast and we shared one of the pastries that Elaine had purchased yesterday for Roger and I before heading out to catch the hop-on hop-off bus.  We did the Barcelona Bus Turistic since it had three bus routes.

I guess on your last stop you throw your headphones onto the bus stop roof.
Since we got an early start we had the bus pretty much to ourselves for a while.

It's getting pretty warm so the dog just jumps into the water to cool off.  What can the officer say?  There isn't a sign that says no dogs allowed only no humans.
The old bull fight arena turned shopping center.

 The Olympic communication tower.

I took advantage of some alone time, while the rest went to eat lunch and then came back and fell asleep, to finally catch up on the blog.

It cooled off a lot earlier this evening so at 6:30 we headed out to go on the blue line bus route.  We took the Red line from by the apartment and then switched to the blue at the Placa de Catalunya.  There were so many pigeons and it was cute to watch a couple of little girls running through them.  It seemed like it would be so easy to just grab one.

We had to walk across the square to get from the Red Line to the Blue Line.
The architecture in Barcelona is very different than anywhere else that we have been and either you love it or you hate it.  I LOVE it.
I especially love the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia,

I hope that I can see it when it is completed  in 2026.
This was one of Gaudi's first projects.

Not only is she riding her scooter in a dress but also heels.  We saw another lady wearing her stilettos.
As you can see it is the main mode of transportation for locals in Barcelona.
Since we were on the last bus of the day that meant that we had to walk home so Fred and Elaine got to walk down La Rambla.
The guys were out again tonight performing for diners and pedestrians.
