July 18th

After another grocery store adventure and breakfast we headed to the Sagrada Familia.  This church has a lot going on and it takes a while to find all the interesting details, I can only imagine what it will be like when it is completed.  We did not go inside because the line was so long but hopefully we will get back to it.

We also walked past the Barcelona Bull fighting stadium.

We also walked through the Parc de La Ciutadella, which houses a beautiful fountain by Gaudi,

a Mamuth,

a small lake that you can paddle around on,

the zoo, some museums and the Parliament building.

We also walked down to the beach area and I finally got to put my feet in the water.

The water is beautiful, the day is bright and breezy, what else could you ask for?

Maybe some aperitifs.

Well with our skin a little red since we weren't searching out the shade all day, we headed back to the apartment.

Later that night Roger and I headed back out to find the tapas restaurant that the Cruise Critic group is supposed to meet at on Saturday night.

We strolled past the Gaudi buildings on Passeig de Gracia.
