Off We GO!

What is Mike doing?
I spent the morning packing and unpacking our suitcases to either add something or make sure I packed something, then to make sure they weighed less than 50 lbs..  Before I knew it it was time to leave for the airport.  Amanda dropped us off at the airport and had to suffer the hugs and kisses from her parents.  We checked our bags in (drum roll) one weighed 48 lbs and the other was 50 lbs. on the nose.  We were glad we got there early because it took longer than usual to get through security because there were so many people in line to go through.  Mike & Pan were sitting and waiting for us at our gate.  The flight from Fresno to Dallas was thankfully uneventfull and we arrived with plenty of time to ask “What would you like to eat?” and the faited reply “ I don’t know.  What do you want to eat?”  They settled on McDonalds (wishing there was a Foster’s).  After everyone was finished we were all sitting around on our electronic devises…well everyone except for Mike who started to feel a little left out.
We then headed to the gate were we were supposed to catch our flight to London to find that they had moved us to a gate further down.  We arrived there to find that they were already boarding the chosen people (first class and the elite).  I was glad I had not eaten while in Dallas because they served us dinner as soon as we got up to our flying height, with a choice of pasta with a creqm sauce or chicken and vegetables.  This flight had some turbulence which started me thinking about the numbers from lost and if Amanda would have even even get on this flight.  We had the individual tv screens so I watched a movie and then tried to fall asleep which of course did not work.  Closer to our arrival time Roger and I went to use the facilities which were more to the middle of the plane (we were qlmost to the the very back) and took the opportunity to check in with Mike and Pam who were even further up.  Before you knew it we could look out the window and see the England countryside.

  1. If your bags are 50 lbs., how are you going to bring home all your treasures? We appreciate that you ate McDonalds but wished it were a Fosters! :)
