We walked past the Parliament building.
We then walked through the museum district.
We walked past the Hofburg Palace on our way to the Treasury & Imperial Music Chapel.
Only to find it closed on Tuesdays.
So we thought we would head to St. Stephen's Cathedral.
But we took some time to visit the garden and try to pet the baby ducks.
Only to find out that what we thought was the Cathedral was actually the City Hall. So we took advantage of the food booths that are set up for the Film Festival. They have food representing all ethnic groups.
Well we figured out where it was which had us going down Karntner Strasse, where Amanda was quickly drawn into H & M. We ended up leaving her & Elaine there.
It was very impressive inside. We lucked out and they were playing the organ and also had a choir sing, while we were in there.
Earlier in the day we had purchased tickets for the Wiener Residenz Orchester which was held at the Palais Auersperg. It was very convenient as it was just on the next block from our apartment.
After the show we headed back to the City Hall area.
We ate our dinner on china dishes sitting on a park bench with a lot of other people. The weather is beautiful and it seems that everyone just likes hanging outside.
We got a seat to watch Rigoletto.
And waited for 9:45 so it would be dark enough to see the screen.
I can't get over the beautiful architecture. Well we didn't stay long after the movie started. It was a little weird and we couldn't understand it since of course it was the opera version and in a different language.
