Kreuzerhof Hotel Garni - Our Hotel in Rothenburg o d T

I had contacted Walter in January about reservations and he was quick with his responses to my questions and he had a room that  all 5 of us could share, which saved us all some money.

The door to the right of Amanda was our entrance to the hotel.  There are only two rooms in this part of the hotel along with the breakfast room and the office.  The door is always locked and we  had a key to this door and the door to our room.

You can see Amanda in the window of our room.  This is the view from the courtyard parking lot.  The other rooms are in a building to the right.  The office door in right below her.

Our entry hallway.
The narrow & steep stairs to our room.

The landing outside our room had a computer, a water heater for drinks with an assortment of teas and some mocha mix, and a piano.  The door to our room (room 10) was to the right and room 11 was to the left.

Our room was nice and large.  I forgot to take a picture of the sitting area, which is wear I am standing to take the picture.  It had a couch a table with a couple of chairs and a tv.  The only English channels where CNN & CNBC.  Amanda's twin bed was to the left and the bathroom is also behind me.  The bathroom was really large and was all tiled.  The only problem there was that the shower would leak water on the floor.

At the foot of our bed there were stairs that led up to the other bedroom.

This room had two twins a table and chair.

Breakfast Area

The breakfast room was very warm and comforting.  Although very quiet.

Breakfast was from 8-9:30 every morning.

There was always fresh baked bread, butter, some jellies, honey, an off brand of Nutella, an assortment of meats & cheeses, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon.  They also had different juices and water.  He would always ask us what we wanted hot to drink and he would bring us coffee, tea or hot chocolate out in a carafe.

They had a collection of old cameras on display.

On the other side there were a variety of cereals, dried & fresh fruit, yogurt and some tiny yogurt/pudding cups.

The thing I found amazing is that we did not pay until just before we left.  They didn't ask us for anything for security.  that wouldn't happen back in the states.

If you are a light sleeper and you share this room you may want ear plugs as anyone walking down the stairs at night to go to the bathroom would wake you up since this is an old building the stairs definitely squeak.
