Amanda & Hailey set off for Paris Tuesday morning at 6:20 am from Landstuhl and arrived at the Gare De L'est train station.They had made reservations at the Peace & Love Hostel.
They had nice views from their room for 60 Euros a night and there is no curfew. They had a private room with a sink and shower.
So they bought a one day metro ticket for 6 Euros and set off to see the sites of Paris.
Arc de Triomphe
Eiffel Tower
Amanda had really wanted to go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower. We tried to book tickets ahead of time so that they would not have to stand in line for tickets but they were sold out.
The Louvre
They were able to get right in front of the Mona Lisa. They watched as a man went beyond the barrier and took a flash photo of the painting and then security came and took him and his camera away.
Notre Dam
Amanda bought a lock and put her name on one side and Hailey's name on the other so they could lock it on the bridge.
They saw things that they never expected to see like police officers on skates.
And they at some yummy food.
