Roger decided to take a shortcut,
The views from the top were amazing.
The National Monument of Scottland was started in 1826.
We were going to climb to the top of the Nelson Monument but we weren't willing to pay 5£ to do it.
We then headed back down the hill and ended up back on the Royal mile where we all had lunch together then the guys headed back to the apartment and Cheryl & I did some shopping.
Cheryl is very excited because we were able to take a taxi to the Taste of Scotland Show.
The show is held inside the old horse barn at Prestonfield House Hotel.
We had arrived early so we checked out the hotel and the beautiful grounds.
I have never seen as many peacocks as I have on this trip.
We had great seats, front row and center.
The did an elaborate entry of the Haggis.
We all tried the Haggis. It tasted fine but the texture was a little weird....ok maybe a lot weird.
The show was fun and entertaining.
They called a taxi for us and we were dropped off right at the door.
