We headed out with plenty of time to enjoy the sites along the way.
We had heard you needed to be there by 10:30 to get the front row against the fence but by 10:15 when we arrived that was already taken but we did find some short people to stand behind. The guys decided that they did not want to stand there so they opted for higher ground.
You could hear the bands coming up the street playing.
I thought the band was going to play some military/marching type music so I was surprised to hear songs from Phantom of the Opera.
After we saw the guard change we headed over to meet up with the guys.
The view from there was perfect to see them march out.
We decided to walk over to the park and head to Harrods.
Getting in was easy but finding our way out was another matter. Cheryl was the big spender here. She bought a bottle of water and a scone.
We walked to the Victoria and Albert Museum then through Hide park to Kennsington Palace.
After all the walking we did today we were ready to eat. Tonight we had dinner at the Windmill Pub which was just around the corner from our apartment.
