June 14, 2015 - Lisbon Yellow Bus Tour

I slept in until 8:30 this morning the rest of the group was shocked to find out that they were still in bed at noon.  So buy the time we hit the street it was about 1:30.

We ended up just grabbing a couple of sandwiches from a bakery as we were walking.

We saw the Yellow Bus hop on hop off tour and decided that since it was raining it might be a good day to do a bus tour that will also help us get a better feel for the city.

By the time we finished both bus tours it was almost 6 so time for dinner.  You know what that means we walked around for a half hour or more trying to decide where we wanted to eat.  Along the way we tasted a Portugal cherry liquor called Ginjinha.

Where did we end up for dinner?  The same place as last night.  The waiter saw us on the street and he wanted us to sit outside in his section but we told him no we wanted to sit inside.  I am sure he only wanted to wait on us because Roger gave him a tip the night before and they don't usually get tips.
I had a Hawaiian pizza style pasta and actually it was pretty good, but what was even better was the white wine sangria.

Yes I drank the whole thing and then ate all of the fruit.

After dinner we went for another exploratory walk and what did we find?
So Roger and Fred got some coffee.  They had to take it back to the apartment for Fred to drink it because they didn't have cream or artificial sweetener.
We had also stopped at the grocery store that had a bakery in it so I bought a Travesseiro pastry to sample.
When we returned to the apartment I called Amanda through the facebook messenger app, she had called just as we were leaving the apartment earlier.  Isn't it wonderful how we can now keep in touch with loved ones so far away and it didn't cost a dime.

Looking forward to tomorrow and exploring the sites that we saw today.  Good night from Lisbon.
