We had to take a picture of this phone booth for our friend Cheryl so she could see that not all phone booths smell like pee.
I love the flowers everywhere.
As we were waiting for the first train of the day we met a couple from Kansas City that had just finished a Rick Steve's tour of lower England. The reason I started talking to them was that I saw her bag that is similar to our backpacks which I had purchased from Rick Steve's website. They were on their way home as we were heading to Antwerp, Belgium.
I think I would have liked to visit this town that we passed on our journey.
I had heard that the Antwerp train station was someplace to see but I was still impressed when we entered.
For the next two nights we are staying at Apartments Suites in Antwerp.
The stairs were not to fun to climb with our suitcases. They were steep and narrow. At least we only had to go up and down one time with the bags.
It was a lovely apartment.
I love their doors that blend in with the walls.
There was a lovely balcony that we were not able to enjoy because of the rain. But it was nice to open the door and get some fresh air.
The door led down to the bathroom.
The bathroom was really nice with double sinks, a seperate bathtub and shower. I did finally take advantage of the bathtube. It was heaven. I like that they have a hand held nozzel for the tub also, it makes washing your hair a lot easier. I think it would help with giving children a bath also.
