This morning Roger and I had said our goodbyes to Dave & Cheryl before we left Alma house. They were still packing for their trip home and we wanted to run an errand before we left Windsor.
We ran into them as we were headed to the train station.
We were entertained at the Windsor Eaton train station by these little kids they just kept going into the phone booth. I was really surprised at how many of them fit in there. By the way it was 7.
As we waited at the Reading train station for our next train there were trains that would zoom through the station. It was a little scary. We made sure we stayed far away. I watched one conductor swing his paddle at a girl that got to close to the edge of the platform as a train was coming through.
This was our easiest and probably quickest trip to a hotel this trip. I had purchased an all day bus pass at the same time that I had purchased the train tickets online. The bus station was right next to the train station. The only thing we did wrong was we went one stop to far but it was still very close. For the next three nights we are staying at Cranleigh Guest House.
After we got all settled in we headed out to find something to eat and to check out the town.
As we were walking around a guy came out from the bakery shop ringing a bell and saying that he had pastries 2 for 1£. Which of course we had to take advantage of that deal.
They had this great little area in the pedestrian mall area with a huge TV screen set up. The chairs were full of people watching the big football game. We just walked down a little further and then caught the bus back up to the hotel.
