July 19, 2014 - Newport to Portland via the Tillamook factory & Roloff Farms

Michael taking the boys for their morning walk.

Our breakfast table is all set.

Roger started with some coffee and some of the snacks left out last night.

Our breakfast appetizers.

Our breakfast minus the quiche and potatoes.

Poor Jazz got into trouble because we called her into the breakfast room.

Sad to say it is now time to leave the Newport Belle.

Our next stop was Tillamook.

You would think that with all the people here they were giving cheese and ice-cream away.  Well they do give you samples of cheese but not ice-cream.

Roger is happy now.  He got his ice-cream.

What's for lunch?  Oregon Blueberry Patch & Smores for Roger and Mint Chip & Chocolate Peanut Butter for me.  We also purchased some garlic cheese, Smoked Sharp Cheddar & Fresh Oregon Salt Water Taffy.

We made the mistake of not checking with the gps before we left Tillamook.  When we did turn it on it said to make a u-turn but we decided to take Highway 53 to 26.  We were the only cars on that curvy road.  Next time we will just make the u-turn.

My stalker picture at the Roloff Farms.

Tonight we are staying at the La Quinta in Portland.  It is in the more industrial northern part of Portland.

Direct TV, microwave, refrigerator, king size bed, what else could you ask for?

Karen, this one is for you.  Yes there is a Keurig in the room.

We saw the Alibi on TV so we thought we decided to go there for dinner.

Since we are on vacation I decided to have an umbrella drink.

Roger decided to join me.  After dinner we drove around a little bit and realized how crazy it is to drive downtown Portland.  So we headed back to the hotel and we will get a fresh start tomorrow.

  1. How fun! A Keurig in the room is the best! AND you thought of me!
