12/17/2012 Fresno to Charlotte?

Amanda and I left today heading to Charlotte N.C., at least that is where we thought we would be tonight.

Well it started out good.  We got to the Fresno airport early there wasn't even a line to check our bag.  We both ran into a problem going through security though.  They have really beefed up the security, Amanda got patted and swabbed down.  I forgot that I had a cork screw & camping utensil set that stays in my makeup travel bag.  Plus they confiscated the blade for my blender.  Man I felt like a dangerous person.  Our flight from Fresno to LAX went smoothly and we arrived ahead of time.  We had a two hour layover which turned into over three hours which meant that we missed our connection in Houston.  At least United put us up in a hotel and gave us vouchers for dinner and breakfast.  Well we headed out to get the shuttle to the Hilton Garden Inn. The van finally showed up we loaded our suitcases in the back but other people just got in the van and filled it up so we had to get our luggage back out and then had to wait for another shuttle thank goodness the first shuttle driver told the second shuttle driver about us or I think they would have tried to push us out of that van also...who am I kidding there is no way Amanda was going to let that happen.

Well we got checked into the hotel and I made some calls to the rental car company in Charlotte that we were supposed to be picking up our car from.  I also contacted Hotwire and priceline which I had  booked the hotel through Hotwire and the rental car through Priceline.  Then we went down and had dinner and came back to our room and watched some TV and got on our computers.
