and I went to Burnt District Salon to get my hair cut.
I loved their little greeters.
When I got done we headed to the Space Needle to meet up with Ed & Sarah. We had heard on the news that the Blue Angels would be making a fly-by at 12:30.
We heard and saw them off in the distance but they did not fly by but landed at the Boeing Museum.
We did meet up with Ed and Sarah and we took the monorail & then walked to Pikes Market.
We had worked up an appetite so we thought we would just walk up a street to a Mexican food restaurant. Well Roger got onto Yelp and found out that it had bad ratings so we kept walking. We finally stopped at Taco Del Mar.
After lunch we went to meet the Gregory's who were waiting for us at the Duck tour location by the Space Needle. Well when we tried to by tickets guess what....they were sold out at this location. They did have tickets available for the tour leaving from the city center. So we were back on the monorail since no one wanted to walk again.
Quackers are ready.
We passed by some interesting art work.
Our driver was great. He kept playing different songs and changing his hat (which matched the song) to match what we may be seeing.
As we sailed around Lake Union he pointed out the floating house from Sleepless in Seattle.
The difference between a house boat and floating house is that the floating home is built on a floating base but does not move from its location except up and down with the water level. A house boat could leave the dock at anytime with its motor.
When we finished the tour we headed back to our hotel and the rest of them took the monorail back to the Space Needle and then their hotels.
