Aruba has some of the most beautiful beaches but the landscape of most of the island is cactus, prickly bushes and rocks. You could definitely tell our tour guide loves his home. Our only problem with him was that we couldn't hear him.
We saw some different lizards.
We saw the light house.
We enjoyed the views. We could see where the Atlantic ocean meets the Caribbean ocean.
We visited the oldest chapel on the island Chapel of Our Lady of Alto Vista.
We drove by some gorgeous homes and the country club.
This was a scary, funny and weird site to behold. I am glad they are not my neighbor.
We weren't sure where he was taking us. We went up and down dirt roads that had some major water wash outs in them just to get to some rock formations that our driver was so excited to show us. Can you see the shark getting ready to eat the fish.
As you can see we are out in the middle of no where.
He also showed us some cave drawings.
Do you see the pig head?
Took advantage bench and got a group picture.
And here is King Kong.
They have wild donkeys wandering around the island.
We visited Roger's beach. The water here was absolutely beautiful and the boats where cute. We made our driver pull over so we could get.
And at least get to put our feet in the water.
Pictures can not show the beauty of the water here. Well this was our last stop. By the time we got back to the ship Roger and I headed back on the ship to eat lunch while Amanda went with Judy & George to the little stands at the dock.
After we ate we headed back out to check out the area around the port. Being that today is Sunday and more importantly New Years day most of the shops were closed.
Here are some pictures of our dinner. I keep forgetting to take pictures.
