Everyone woke up early because we were all excited to be boarding the Carnival Magic today. While we were waiting for someone to show up so we could check out of the apartment, we made a couple of trips to take the luggage downstairs. Mike & Pam waited downstairs with the luggage.
We then headed off to meet the bus to take us to the port. We had almost missed the first bus but luckily I got close enough to get their attention and they waited for us to load the bus.
Roger & I had to go to leave Mike and Pam downstairs once we reached the terminal because our Sail & Sign cards were in the VIP lounge.
Of course the first thing we did once we got onboard was to head to the Lido deck and get our hamburger & french fries.
Followed by some ice-cream.
Then we headed off to explore our new home for the next 12 days.
We found the Red Frog Pub and I had to sit in the swing and I found one of my new favorite drinks that has Irish Creme, Kahlua, Cream de Coco & Vanilla Rum.
We went and checked out our cabin, I really like the two bathrooms, One has a shower/tub and sink the other is the normal shower, toilet, sink with a vanity.
We had our Cruise Critic Meet & Greet in the Red Frog Pub at 2:30. Sierra got them to take a group picture of us and put it up on the screen behind the bar.
We left a little early so that we could go hear the cruise port talk since John Heald was giving it.
Then of course it was time for the muster drill which our station was in the Southern Lights dinning room, which was nice because we go to sit and listen to the talk. We watched sail away from the forward part of deck 5. We backed most of the way out of port and just towards the end they were able to have enough room to turn around.
We then went up and put our name in for the spa drawing but of course we didn't win but we are hoping that they will call us with a good spa deal later on in the week. We purchased our cruise certificates so that we can get our onboard cruise credit for our 2012 cruise and then went back to our cabin and found that our luggage had come.
So while Roger took a nap I unloaded my stuff and put it into the closet, shelves and drawers. Then it was already time to head to dinner. They had assigned us to "Any Time Dinning" but we wanted an assigned table and waiter so I had earlier gone and talked to the Matre' d and he told me to come for dinner at 8:15 and they would give us a table at least for tonight. We had a nice booth that I do hope we get to keep for the rest of the cruise.
Everyone was so tired after dinner we all headed back to our rooms and our Carnival Comfort Beds, I love these beds.
